About this policy
RechargeSnap is provided by Joachim Shilongo. This policy describes the updated app: Android version 3.0 and iOS version 2.0. Features described here may not be present in older versions. Updated September 18, 2026.
RechargeSnap does not require an account. The developer does not operate a server that stores your scanned vouchers or selected contacts.
Voucher scanning
Text recognition runs on your device using Google ML Kit on Android and Apple Vision on iOS. The app does not upload voucher images or recognized voucher codes to a developer server or pass them to the advertising SDK.
Captured images and recognized codes are used for the current scan and review. The app does not keep a scanned-voucher history. Leaving the workflow releases its working data. Selecting a photo does not delete or change the original in your photo library.
On Android, ML Kit may contact Google for service updates and sends SDK performance and usage metrics. The image and recognized text are processed on-device and are not sent to Google by ML Kit. Read Google’s ML Kit privacy information.
Camera, contacts, and mobile tools
Camera access is used when you choose to scan. You can change camera permission in device settings or use photo selection or manual entry instead. The system photo picker gives the app access to the image you select.
The contact picker supplies the phone number you choose; the app does not upload your address book. Selected numbers are used to prepare the mobile request you review.
Continuing in Phone or Messages, or sharing through another app, sends the selected information to the service or recipient you choose. Mobile operators, messaging services, and other apps handle that information under their own policies. The app does not automatically send SMS messages or complete a recharge on your behalf.
Local storage and clipboard
Favorites, custom code templates, and recent tool identifiers are stored locally. Recent tool lists do not include entered recipients or voucher PINs. Custom templates are saved as entered, so do not embed private voucher PINs or sensitive information in them.
You can remove templates and clear recent tools in the app. Local preferences remain until removed or the app’s data is deleted. Android app backup is disabled in the updated build; iOS preferences may be included in device backups according to your settings.
Copying places the selected text on your device clipboard. iOS copies are marked local-only with a five-minute expiry. Android marks copied content sensitive and attempts to clear matching content after five minutes, but background restrictions or closing the app may prevent this. Clear sensitive clipboard content yourself after use. Other software and system features may handle clipboard content according to platform settings.
Advertising and privacy choices
Versions with advertising enabled use Google AdMob banner ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform for applicable consent choices. Google’s SDKs and advertising partners may process your IP address, approximate location inferred from it, device or account identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, product interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These data support advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, consent, and service operation.
The updated app requests non-personalized ads and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier setting. Android removes the advertising-ID permission; iOS does not request IDFA access through the tracking permission prompt. These settings do not eliminate all advertising-related data processing.
Where applicable, advertising choices are presented before eligible ad requests. You can reopen “Advertising privacy choices” in Help & privacy when available for your region. Available ads and processing depend on your choices, region, and Google’s services.
See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising information. Provider retention and international processing follow their policies. Voucher images, voucher codes, and selected contact numbers are not provided to AdMob by the app.
Retention and your choices
The developer does not hold a voucher or contact database to delete. You can remove locally stored preferences through the app or device settings, uninstall the app, and manage device backups separately. Copies sent to another service, copied to the clipboard, or shared with someone else are outside the app’s local storage.
If you contact support, your email address, message, and information you choose to include are used to respond and maintain the support conversation for as long as needed to handle the issue and any applicable obligations. Please do not send voucher PINs or unredacted sensitive screenshots.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. Contact the developer about information held through support; use Google’s privacy controls for information processed by its services. No fixed retention period is promised for independent service providers.
Children
RechargeSnap is a general-purpose utility. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to the developer, contact us so the matter can be addressed. A store age rating describes content suitability and does not mean advertising services process no data.
