Joachim Shilongo
Joachim Shilongo is a Namibian app developer, web developer, game developer, electrical technician, author and self-taught pencil artist. His work spans mobile software, web products, community technology, locally inspired games, industrial electrical systems and portrait art.
CODING ORIGIN // Shilongo started coding in Grade 9, beginning a long-running practice of learning by building practical software and experimenting with technology.
01 / EARLY TECHNOLOGY
Learning by building.
The project history stretches from early software experiments to released mobile products, web applications and games.
Shilongo started programming in Grade 9. Early work included educational and utility software, and the archive later expanded into Android applications, public-service technology, mobile products, web development and game prototypes.
One surviving early software record is MegaByte Math 2K16, documented on his original Blogspot archive in 2016. Later public records preserve additional Android projects and community-oriented applications.

05 / ELECTRICAL CAREER
Industrial systems and fault finding.
Electrical work adds a systems discipline that also influences the way software problems are approached.
Shilongo works as an Electrical Technician with hands-on experience around marine and industrial electrical systems. His technical interests include LV/MV power distribution, generation, protection, control systems, variable-frequency drives, motors and fault finding.
The same sequence-based mindset appears in his software work: observe the system, understand the failure path, isolate the problem and verify the result.

Portraiture built layer by layer.
Visual work is published under the Tesla Drawz name.
As a self-taught pencil artist, Shilongo works in graphite and coloured pencil, focusing on portrait likeness, expression, skin tone and patient layering. Completed and in-progress portraits are documented through his Tesla Drawz portfolio.
